Canterra Minerals Corp. Reports Significant Drilling Results at Buchans Project
June 3, 2025 — Canterra Minerals Corporation, a company operating in the materials sector with a focus on metals and mining, has announced promising new drilling results from its Buchans Project in Newfoundland. The company, which is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, reported intersecting 68 meters of 1.0% copper equivalent (CuEq) from the surface. This significant finding is part of an ongoing 10,000-meter drill program at the 100% owned Buchans Project, situated in the Central Newfoundland Mining District.
The drilling results, specifically from drillhole H-25-3537, revealed 68.0 meters of 1.0% CuEq, which includes 11.0 meters of 2.14% CuEq. The breakdown of the mineralization includes 0.50% copper (Cu), 1.00% zinc (Zn), 0.43% lead (Pb), 3.5 grams per tonne (g/t) silver (Ag), and 0.06 g/t gold (Au). The higher-grade section of 11.0 meters contains 0.63% Cu, 3.22% Zn, 1.62% Pb, 6.9 g/t Ag, and 0.14 g/t Au.
These results highlight broad intersections of stockwork semi-massive sulfide mineralization, which are expected to expand the current open pit mineral resource. The findings further demonstrate the continuity of the Lundberg deposit, an open pit resource favorably situated on a brownfields site with excellent infrastructure.
The Buchans Project is strategically located 50 kilometers north of Equinox Gold’s Valentine Gold Mine and 34 kilometers northwest of Teck’s past-producing Duck Pond Mine, enhancing its logistical advantages.
As of June 1, 2025, Canterra Minerals Corp. had a close price of CAD 0.08, with a 52-week high of CAD 0.16 on November 19, 2024, and a 52-week low of CAD 0.04 on November 11, 2024. The company’s market capitalization stands at CAD 18,882,677.
