Envitec Biogas AG Appoints Franz-Josef Wiese to Supervisory Board

12 May 2025 — Envitec Biogas AG, a leading European provider and operator of biogas plants, has announced the appointment of Franz-Josef Wiese to its Supervisory Board. The appointment, effective immediately, was made by the Osnabrück District Court on 9 May 2025, following a request from the company’s Management Board. This decision comes in response to the departure of Silvia Breher, a former Supervisory Board member and Deputy Chairwoman of the CDU Germany, who was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Home Affairs.

Franz-Josef Wiese, who brings over 40 years of experience in corporate banking, will serve on the Supervisory Board until the end of the next Annual General Meeting. Wiese is currently the Head of Corporate Banking at Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg and has held management positions for more than two decades. His extensive background in corporate banking is expected to provide valuable insights and guidance to Envitec Biogas AG.

The Supervisory Board of Envitec Biogas AG will continue to be chaired by Ulf Hüttmeyer, with Michael Böging serving as Deputy Chairman.
