Gaotu Techedu Inc. (NYSE: GOTU) released unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30 2026. Net revenues rose to RMB 1,670.1 million, a 20.2 % increase from RMB 1,389.4 million in the same period of 2025. Gross billings grew 19.4 % to RMB 2,689.1 million, while the company’s loss from operations narrowed to RMB 149.8 million, a 38.1 % improvement over the RMB 241.9 million loss recorded in Q2 2025.

The net loss for the quarter was RMB 135.8 million, down 37.1 % from RMB 216.0 million in Q2 2025. Non‑GAAP net loss also declined, reaching RMB 129.1 million versus RMB 206.8 million previously. Operating cash inflow increased 46.3 % to RMB 861.2 million, reflecting stronger cash generation despite the ongoing loss.

Gaotu’s management highlighted that the revenue growth is driven by expansion in its AI‑powered tutoring platform and increased uptake of foreign‑language and professional‑field courses. The company also reported a reduction in share‑based compensation expenses, which contributed to the improved non‑GAAP metrics.

On the earnings preview released the day before, analysts noted that Gaotu’s guidance for the third quarter pointed to continued revenue acceleration and further cost discipline. The company’s market capitalization remains at approximately USD 412.5 million, with a current share price of USD 1.73 as of August 25 2026. Despite the negative price‑earnings ratio of –7, the company’s recent financials suggest a trajectory of operational improvement.
