Great Pacific Gold Corp, a materials sector company based in Vancouver, Canada, has recently completed its inaugural diamond-drill program at the Kavasuki target within the Wild Dog Project in Papua New Guinea. The company, which offers mining services and is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, has reported significant findings from this program.
The drilling program, which consisted of twelve holes, confirmed the presence of broad, shallow gold mineralisation extending from the surface to approximately 70 meters deep. The results revealed several drill intervals with continuous gold-bearing quartz vein systems. Notably, higher-grade zones were identified within the shallow window, enhancing the potential for future exploration and development.
In addition to confirming gold mineralisation, the program refined the interpretation of historical 3D induced-polarisation data. The findings indicated that the main chargeability response is associated with disseminated pyrite rather than gold. This insight provides a clearer framework for prioritising future drilling efforts across the Wild Dog corridor, allowing the company to focus on the most promising areas.
Following the successful completion of the Kavasuki program, Great Pacific Gold Corp has redirected its drilling rigs to additional targets within the main zone. This strategic move is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to advance its exploration pipeline and further evaluate the potential of the Wild Dog Project.
As of August 31, 2026, Great Pacific Gold Corp’s close price stood at 0.275 CAD, with a market capitalisation of 55,878,088 CAD. The company’s 52-week high was recorded at 0.69 CAD on September 28, 2025, while the 52-week low was 0.25 CAD on July 19, 2026. The price-to-earnings ratio was reported at -9.89, reflecting the company’s current financial metrics.
These developments underscore Great Pacific Gold Corp’s commitment to advancing its exploration activities and enhancing its portfolio of mineral assets. The company’s strategic focus on the Wild Dog Project positions it to potentially unlock significant value for its stakeholders in the future.
