Sembcorp Industries Ltd – Key Developments
Green hydrogen supply contract
NeuEN Green Energy, a joint venture between Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and a unit of Sembcorp Industries, has secured a contract to supply 10,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of green hydrogen to Numaligarh Refinery Ltd.
The production facility will be established at the refinery in Assam, with operations slated to begin in 2028.
The agreement is noted as India’s lowest‑priced green‑hydrogen supply contract and supports the refinery’s decarbonisation efforts.
