Rumble Inc. Expands Bitcoin‑Based Monetization for Content Creators
Rumble Inc. (NASDAQ: RUM) announced that it will launch a Bitcoin tipping feature for its approximately 51 million monthly active users during the second half of December 2025. The initiative, developed in partnership with stable‑coin issuer Tether, will allow viewers to send Bitcoin (BTC) directly to creators via a digital wallet integrated into the Rumble app. The first BTC tip was already sent to Canadian creator David Freiheit during testing.
Strategic Partnership with Tether
Tether has invested $775 million in Rumble and has positioned the video platform as a conduit for the upcoming US‑compliant stablecoin USAT. According to statements made at the Plan B Forum in Lugano, Switzerland, Rumble’s CEO Chris Pavloski confirmed that the Bitcoin tipping service is still in the testing phase but is expected to be fully operational by mid‑December. The partnership aligns with Tether’s broader strategy to leverage Rumble’s audience for the launch of USAT, which is aimed at 100 million U.S. users.
Market Context
Rumble’s shares fell slightly on the day of the announcement, trading at $7.14 (close price on 2025‑10‑23) with a market capitalization of approximately $2.42 billion. The company’s price‑to‑earnings ratio remains negative at –5.5, reflecting its ongoing investment in platform development and strategic initiatives.
The Bitcoin tipping feature is part of Rumble’s broader effort to diversify creator revenue streams and to compete with larger platforms such as YouTube. The addition of cryptocurrency payments is expected to enhance creator engagement and provide a new monetization channel that is less reliant on traditional advertising models.
Implications for Stakeholders
- Content Creators: Gain an additional revenue channel that allows fans to tip directly in BTC, potentially increasing earnings and fostering closer audience relationships.
- Users: Receive a streamlined experience for supporting creators through cryptocurrency, with a wallet embedded in the Rumble app.
- Investors: The partnership with Tether may unlock new growth avenues, though current share performance indicates a cautious market reaction to the announcement.
Rumble’s move to integrate Bitcoin tipping coincides with Tether’s plans to launch the USAT stablecoin in December, positioning Rumble as a pivotal platform in the evolving cryptocurrency ecosystem.
