Sunway Construction Group Berhad Secures Major Data Centre Projects

This contract involves the construction of two data centres for a prominent US-based technology company. The announcement, made on May 29, 2025, highlights Sunway Construction’s strategic expansion into high-value infrastructure projects. The company’s subsidiary, Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, will spearhead the development of these data centres. Sunway Construction Group Managing Director, Liew Kok Wing, expressed confidence in the company’s trajectory, noting that the new projects significantly expand the order book for the year and enhance earnings visibility over the next two years. “Our strong performance in the first quarter of 2025 reflects the sustained momentum across our operations,” Liew stated. “We are confident that this positive momentum will continue in the current financial year, underpinned by accelerated progress on data centre projects and a robust outstanding order book, including newly-secured projects.”
As of now, Sunway Construction has secured RM3.5 billion in new orders, surpassing half of its 2025 order book replenishment target range of RM4.5 billion to RM6 billion. This achievement has elevated the company’s total outstanding order book to RM7.9 billion, underscoring its strong market position and operational efficiency.
